Getting started

How do I set up my AI receptionist?+
After signing up, complete the onboarding flow: enter your business name, industry, and services. Then go to Settings → Voice AI to configure your AI's name, personality, and the phone number it answers. The receptionist is ready to take calls as soon as a Vapi-connected number is assigned.
How do I connect a phone number?+
Go to Settings → Voice AI → Phone Number and follow the prompts to connect a number through Vapi. You can use an existing number or provision a new one. Once connected, all inbound calls to that number route to your AI.
How do I train my AI on my business?+
Go to Settings → Knowledge Base and fill in details about your services, FAQs, pricing, and anything else you want the AI to know. The more specific you are, the better it performs. You can update this anytime without restarting anything.
What channels does Pylor support?+
Pylor handles phone calls, SMS, web chat (via the embeddable widget), and Facebook Messenger. All conversations land in the unified inbox regardless of channel.

AI Employees

What are AI Employees and how do they work?+
AI Employees are specialized AI agents — Sales Rep, Lead Researcher, Marketing Specialist, and more — that you hire and assign tasks to. Each has a defined role, a trained persona, and access to the integrations you connect. You give them a goal in plain language and they execute it, updating you in real time via their activity feed.
Can AI Employees make outbound calls?+
Yes. The Sales Rep employee can place outbound calls using your configured Vapi phone number. Create a campaign in the Campaign Room, approve the generated call list, and calls will dial automatically during business hours (9am–5pm by default). You can also dial any approved call immediately from the call queue.
How do I give an AI Employee a task?+
Open the employee's dashboard and use the Message tab to type a task in plain language, or click Start this task on any suggested task. For multi-employee work, use theCampaign Room to coordinate Research, Marketing, and Sales in a single pipeline.
Why is my AI Employee showing as Standby?+
Standby means the employee has no active task assigned. Give them something to do via the Message tab or start a campaign that includes them.

Billing & plans

How does billing work?+
Pylor is billed monthly. Your subscription starts immediately when you pick a plan. You can upgrade, downgrade, or cancel at any time from Settings → Billing. Cancellations take effect at the end of your current billing period.
Do you offer a money-back guarantee?+
Yes — every plan is backed by a 30-day money-back guarantee. If Pylor isn't the right fit in the first 30 days after your first paid charge, email support@pylorai.com with your account email and we'll refund your subscription in full — no questions asked.
Can I get a refund after 30 days?+
After the 30-day money-back window, refunds are handled case-by-case. Email support@pylorai.com with your account email and reason.
Do you offer annual billing?+
Yes — annual plans save roughly 10% compared to monthly. Contact sales@pylorai.com to switch or to discuss enterprise pricing.

Account & data

How do I add team members?+
Go to Settings → Team and invite them by email. Team members can be assigned different roles (Owner or Member). Owners have full access; Members can view conversations and manage appointments but cannot change billing or integrations.
How do I delete my account?+
Email support@pylorai.com with your account email and we'll process the deletion within 5 business days. Per our Privacy Policy, your data is purged within 90 days of account closure.
Can I export my data?+
Yes. Contact support and we'll provide an export of your conversation history, customer records, and configuration in JSON format within 5 business days.
Is my data secure?+
Yes. All data is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.2+) and at rest. We use SOC 2-compliant infrastructure (Vercel + Neon). See our Privacy Policy for full details or email security@pylorai.com with specific security questions.

What integrations does Pylor support?+
Pylor connects to Google Calendar, Facebook Messenger, Stripe (for deposits), and a growing library of AI Employee integrations including CRMs, social platforms, communication tools, research databases, and document systems. Go to any AI Employee's Integrations tab to see the full list and connect accounts.
Is there an API?+
A public API is on the roadmap. If you have a specific integration need today, email sales@pylorai.com and we'll discuss what's possible.
