Train your AI

Your AI answers from what you give it: your website, your documents, a short set of questions about how you run things, and your price list. Most of it lives on one page, Business information.

Before you start

Step 1, open Business information

In the left sidebar, open Business information (it sits in the System group). The page heading reads Teach your AI. If you use the simple sidebar and do not see it, go straight to pylorai.com/knowledge.

Step 2, answer the AI onboarding questions

  1. Find the AI onboarding card and click Start (it says Continue if you answered some before).
  2. Answer each question in plain words, then click Save & next. There are nine: what you do, how you price, scheduling quirks, when to hand a call to a person, where you work, how people pay, your cancellation policy, what you specialize in, and anything the AI should never say.
  3. On the last question the button reads Finish. The card then shows how many you answered.
The two that matter most: when the AI should transfer to a human, and what it should never say. Those are the answers that keep it out of trouble.

Step 3, import your website and listings

Your website

  1. In Import from website, paste your site address and click Crawl site.
  2. Wait while it reads your pages. It can take up to 30 seconds. A green line then tells you how many pages it read.

Yelp, Google, Facebook and other listings

  1. In Add a profile or listing, paste the public link to the listing and click Add profile.
  2. Pylor reads it once and then refreshes it every night, so new reviews and hours reach the AI without you doing anything.

Step 4, upload your documents

  1. Drag files onto the upload box, or click Choose Files (or Choose Folder for a whole folder). Each file can be up to 100MB.
  2. Each file shows Processing and then Ready. Wait for Ready before you test.
  3. Every file has a Public / Internal switch. Internal files are hidden from the chat on your website. Use it for staff notes you do not want quoted to customers.

Step 5, enter your prices

  1. Open Settings, Booking tab.
  2. In Products & services, click Add, type the service name and the price the way you quote it ($275, or $800-$1,200 for a range), and save the row with the check mark.
The AI quotes this list exactly. If the list is empty it takes a message instead of guessing a price. Leave a service off on purpose if you never want a price said out loud.

Step 6, keep it current with Business memory

For anything that changes (a sale, a new policy, a staff change, a day you are closed), type it into Business memory on the Business information page and click Save to memory. Each note is stamped with the date. Open What's in memory to read everything it holds.

Check it worked

If something goes wrong

A file has been Processing for a long time+

A Clear stuck & re-upload button appears under the Status tile while anything is processing. Click it, then upload the file again.

A file shows Failed+

Delete it with the trash icon on its row, save it again as a PDF or Word file, and upload that copy.

Crawl site shows an error, or reads fewer pages than you have+

Some sites block automated reading. Save your services and pricing pages as PDFs and upload them in Step 4 instead, or type the key facts into Business memory. If it says it stopped early because the site was large, upload PDFs of the pages it missed.

The AI says something wrong+

Find where it came from. Wrong price: fix the row in Products & services. Wrong fact from an old document: delete that document. Anything else: add the correct version to Business memory, then ask the same question in Test AI again.

AI Memory says it couldn't generate+

Wait a few minutes and click Generate again. If it keeps failing, email support with the message it shows.
